Meet Cordelia (a.k.a. Miss Dilly)
Hi, I'm Cordelia, an 8-year-old, 44-pound English Bulldog with a very sweet, very calm soul. I came to CEBR in September from a hoarding situation, and my foster family says I've blossomed since then: my vision has improved dramatically, I'm house trained, and I've discovered that ear rubs and belly rubs are the best things in the world.
I'm a low-energy gal. My perfect day is a nap, a bully stick, and another nap, preferably within a few feet of my favorite human. Toys don't do much for me, but people do. I'm food motivated, so baths, wrinkle wipes and eye drops are no trouble at all. And here's a bulldog miracle: I don't snore. Not once. Ever.
A few things about the right home for me: I get anxious when left alone for prolonged periods, so I'd do best with someone who's home most of the day (work-from-home or retired would be ideal). I take daily anxiety medication which has worked wonders to help me feel at ease and safe. A little extra support before my people head out helps a lot too. I'd be happiest as the only dog, since I like to keep my bones to myself. I've been fine around kids at the park but haven't lived with any. I have entropion, so my right eye is sensitive and needs periodic drops, which I take like a champ (I also had cherry eye surgery in the past). Nail trims are a work in progress.
If you're looking for a gentle, quiet companion who just wants to be near you, I'd love to meet you.
