I'm ready for my new family!

Why hello there! My name is Crouton, and I’m a male English Bulldog that’s about 2 years old. Are you looking for a loving, energetic bulldog who is making great progress in foster care? Well, I am a loving, energetic bulldog looking for a good home that will continue helping me thrive.

I am a handsome milk chocolate guy with pink sprinkles, big paws, and an even bigger personality. After a difficult start in life that landed me at Animal Control, I am now safe, supported, and showing every day that I am affectionate, curious, and eager to learn what life in a home is all about.

Because I missed out on early structure and routine, I am still learning some basic boundaries in the home. The good news is that I am highly engaged with my people, very responsive to guidance, and making steady progress with consistency, exercise, and support.

Why I could be a great match:

1.     I am incredibly affectionate and form strong bonds with my people.
2.     I am a quick learner and respond well to frequent leash work, structure, and exercise.
3.     I do well with other dogs and would likely enjoy a canine companion who can help me burn energy.
4.     I settle well in my crate at bedtime and sleep through the night.
5.     I have made strong house-training progress in foster care, with only one accident and none in my crate.

What I am still working on:

1.     Settling in the home can be challenging at times, and my care team is actively refining the right support plan for my anxiety.
2.     I can be impulsive when I become excited or fixated, so I will do best with an adopter who can provide calm, consistent redirection.
3.     When I get overstimulated, I can be guided successfully into my crate with high-value treats and usually settle after a few minutes.
