Hiya! My name is Buddy. I’m a young, handsome bundle of energy and I’ve got a heart so big it barely fits inside my chest. I absolutely cannot wait to find my "forever" human so I can shower them with all the love I’ve been saving up!
I like to keep a close eye on my people. I don’t need to be sitting right on your lap (though I wouldn't say no!) but just being in the same room as you is enough to make me feel like the luckiest dog in the world.
Don’t let my energy fool you, when the sun goes down, I’m perfectly happy snoozing away in my favorite chair in the living room.
I’m already housebroken (gold star for me!) and I’ve got the basics down. I know how to "Sit," "Touch," and "Down." My foster family says my tail wags so hard it makes my whole back-end move. I just can’t help it—I get so excited to see the people I love!
I’m also a very good boy about my gear—I’m not opposed to wearing my harness or being on a leash, though I'll be honest: I don’t care much for walks. I’m more of a "stroll to the car and go for a drive" kind of guy. And I do LOVE car rides!! My foster family thinks I would be a great companion for any frequent traveler.
I'll be honest with you: I'm a bit of a talker! I like to bark to let the world know I'm here. Sometimes, meeting new people makes me nervous, and I forget that I'm safe. Because of that, my foster family has me working with a professional trainer to help me stay calm and quiet when I meet new friends.
I’m a fast learner, and I promise I’m trying my very best. I just need a patient person who understands that I’m a lovable work in progress. Once I realize you’re a friend, I’m all wiggles and wrinkles!
