Built Like a Tank… But Powered by Pure Goofball Energy
Hey there, world! The name’s Tank. Fitting, right? I’m a 67-pound hunk of handsome with the spirit of a linebacker and the heart of a shadow-seeking velcro dog. I’m a 3-year-old English Bulldog (or possibly part bowling ball, the jury’s still out), neutered, vaccinated, microchipped, and fully ready for my forever family. I landed with CEBR after some life changes in my previous home, but lucky for me, this rescue knows how to help a big guy like me shine.
Let’s start with the fun stuff because trust me, I’ve got a lot of that. For a dog my size, I’m shockingly athletic. Stairs? No problem. Zoomies? Let’s go. Wrestling with other pups? Oh, I’m a PRO. I love toys, people, praise, and basically any attention you’re willing to throw my way. My foster parents say I have a whole “puppy in a big dog body” thing going on and honestly? They’re right. I follow them everywhere and would happily be your personal assistant (I don’t type well, but morale support? 10/10).
Now for the “good boy résumé” portion:
I’m great on walks, happy for my routine cleaning and daily eye drops, and super coachable. I really do try my best… most of the time. I’m crate trained, potty trained, and solid when left home alone. Maybe a few minutes of “UM EXCUSE ME WHERE ARE YOU GOING?” whining, then I snooze like a champ until you’re back.
But I’m not perfect (yet). So let’s talk honesty. When I’m really excited and think it’s playtime, I sometimes nibble your arms or legs. I’m learning “nope, buddy, humans don’t wrestle like that,” but I’ll need a patient home to keep reinforcing it. I also prefer not to share toys with other dogs. Sharing is caring, sure, but… have you seen my toys? They’re AWESOME. I can resource guard food from other dogs too, especially human food (I don’t get any, but I must have in my original home). And when it comes to other dogs, sometimes I forget that not everyone wants to play as hard as I do. I’m practicing reading the room, I promise. Slow intros + supervision will be important.
My dream family?
Someone active enough to keep my brain and body moving. Walks, play, toys, training, I love it all. Because of my playful mouthiness, no young kids please. I truly like other dogs, but I should either be the only dog in the home or paired with a very submissive pup who doesn’t mind my wrestling-match enthusiasm. My rescue vet also suspects I may have an elongated soft palate (classic bully problems), so a family that can keep me active without letting me overheat would be perfect.
If you’re looking for a dog who’s equal parts athlete, comedian, cuddle buddy, and lovable chaos gremlin… well, I think you just found him. I’ll be here working on my manners, perfecting my toy collection, and waiting for the humans who see past my size and into my sweet, eager-to-please heart.
See ya soon,
Tank
