I'm not quite ready to go to my new home.

Hi! My Name Is Shelby

I'm in the Recovery Room - I'll Be Available Soon

Hi y'all...my name is Shelby Sue and I am a 6 year old little lady. I'm a petite little thing that weighs just 36 lbs and I'm pretty as a peach. Also, I’m house trained and good older with human kids.

God help me, I'm as clumsy as can be. Sometimes I fall off the couch or miss the couch altogether when jumping up. You heard that right, I love a comfy couch (even if it means a tumble off of it)! My foster mom says I fly down the stairs in the house too quickly, which often results in me looking like a bowling ball tumbling down. Foster mama has a hissy fit every time that happens (I guess she’s worried about me or something?), so I'm trying to be better.

I'm not sure how I feel about other dogs yet. Sometimes I get madder than a wet hen when I see dogs on a walk and other times I'm happy as a dead pig in the sunshine. So, if I end up in a home with another dog, my new family would just have to have lots of patience and do slow introductions. Something I’m sure I do hate though....pigeons! I want to eat them all and will pull hard on the leash to get to them quick. I reckon I need some leash training. I do love walks though and I love to be outside (as long as the pigeons keep their distance). Also, I love toys!  But only durable ones! The other ones I will destroy and are about as useless as a screen door on a submarine if you catch my drift.

I’m headed to surgery in a couple weeks so I can get my teeth fixed and cleaned because they are low down dirty!  But after that I should be fine and dandy and ready for adoption!!  I’m fun, loving and cuddly and promise to jump all around every time you come home.

With love,

Shelby Sue
