Hi, I’m Beanie! My people call me Beans, Beansie, Beanie Baby, or Cute Little Baby Girl because I’m a tiny 40lb two year old (almost 3). I am a healthy young bully with a big appetite! My tongue is always hangin out just in case a treat may magically fall on to it. If you say the words treat, walk, or dinner, I am quickly up and moving with excitement! You want to see some wild butt wiggles, all you have to do is come home and I will greet you with so much love. I don’t care if you w ere gone 6 minutes or 6 hours, I will put on a show! When you’re away, I don’t mind hanging in my crate. Like any bulldog, I do have a lazy side and like to lay around and chill. I enjoy being belly up in a nest of blankets or laying out in the sun most of the day. I’m a master snuggler and will melt into you, I can never get close enough! Sometimes my excitement with guests coming over is hard to contain and I’m learning to wait for them to pet me instead of jumping to get closer.

Have you all seen the new Inside Out 2 Movie!? My foster mom is a therapist so she talks about it all the time. Like a lot of humans and dogs, I can really relate to one of the new characters, Anxiety. As we learn in the movie, Anxiety means well and is always trying to help, but sometimes it can get in the way. So when the doorbell rings with an Amazon package, I hear a sound in the backyard, see an animal or human, I am ready to protect myself and the people I love!!! My anxiety comes out most when I leave the safety of my house or go on walks. My foster parents remind me it’s all okay, but my alertness and hyper focus can sometimes take over too much. Sometimes I’m so busy scanning my environment outside and on walks that I forget to go potty! I’ve gotten better with the help of my foster sister but do have an occasional accident in the house. I went to doggy training school and learned lots of skills to redirect my attention and get my energy out in healthy ways. I can do some pretty cool tricks like come, sit, down, and around! I also love to stay busy with my bones, antlers, and toys.

I am young and still learning, so I need to be in a home where I can feel safe with no other animals. It would be ideal to be in an environment where I can go for walks without too many dogs to distract me and where there is a fenced yard to let me run around. Physical exercise is very important for anxiety! I have met a few kids and really liked the attention they gave me.

I am a lovable sweet little girl with a lot of energy and spunk! I’m ready to be the best companion while you snuggle up on the couch and protector of my humans. I can’t wait to find the perfect furever family to share my love with.
