Hi everyone, I’m SUGAR. I’m a female English Bulldog, I’m about 2/ 2.5 years old, and weigh 38lbs. I am scheduled for my spay at the end of May, and will be available once I'm finished with the recovery.
I have had a few litters of puppies and am now eagerly looking for my full time home :). I LOVE being close and lounging with my foster parents all day. I try to always be close to people and will go wherever my foster parents go - NO exceptions. My weakness is my loyalty. When I sleep, I prefer laying back to back to keep myself and my fosters warm, and let them know I am always near. I seldom give them space and prefer to be by their side at all times. I like my 'quiet' times for sleeping only. Love and attention suit me perfectly and I always reciprocate.
I was trained not to go potty inside, so I always stand by the door when it's my time. I live with my foster brother 'Mr. Grady' (CEBR alum). We get along pretty well.
My favorite thing in the world is eating! I've been told I eat in record time, they now have me eat from a crazy bowl that takes too much time to get all the food out. I'm a little loud as well with my grunts and snorts, I may not even be tasting all of the goodness. However, when they present a doggy treat, I have the gentlest nibble out of their hands.
We have a huge backyard, but I have not tried to escape or jump the fence. I am a very good, curious partner on walks. I like to do some zig-zags which my foster parents say I need to work on. What can I say? I just like to sniff all the new scents and enjoy the journey. I have been learning some other things too, like how to “sit” and “wait”. We play rough at times and I'm pretty good at tug-of-war! When we relax, I prefer joining the humans on the comfy chair or couch, but rest assured I'll be by your feet if there is no space.
