Hi there, I'm Jimmy. But my foster mom calls me Jimmy Carter, Mr. President, Sweet Jim, Handsome, and Jimmy Jam, and I happily answer to them all.
I'm a friendly, 6-year old English bulldog who's never been in a house before, and turns out I LOVE IT! My 2 foster sisters share everything with me, even their soft warm beds, where I love napping and cuddling.
Every day mom tells me how proud she is of me for learning so many new things, like climbing up and down stairs, eating meals with my sisters, wearing a harness and walking on a leash, and going potty outside. Watching my foster sisters make it easy, I just do whatever they do.
I am a medical mystery to my doctors. X-rays showed a mass in my abdomen, so I was supposed to get a splenectomy. But Dr. Wyatt said I didn't have a spleen! Just the mass that was benign, and some infection which is being treated with antibiotics. I definitely don't act like a dog who was sick, and I'm in much better shape than when I first came to Chicago. I'll get my neuter soon, and an eye job so my lids don't turn inward and bother my corneas.
So now I'm just doing what I love most, hanging out with my foster family and getting belly rubs, cuddles, head scritches, snuggles, butt scratches, ear rubs, and best of all, kisses from my mom on my little coconut.
I'm basically a sweet, calm, gentle boy, who just wants someone to love me who I can love back. A single person, a family with kids, a dog sibling... I'm not picky at all.
I'm just looking for a person to call my own.
