I'm not quite ready to go to my new home.

Hi! My Name Is Frank

I'm in the Recovery Room - I'll Be Available Soon

Livin’ Life with a Tail!

Yo, my name is Frank. I’m a 7-year-old English Bulldog, but I can still show some deceptive speed that keeps me feeling young. At a sculpted 53 pounds, I dare say my physique also keeps me feeling—and looking--youthful.

Although I’m all bulldog from the front, I have this amazing rudder that helps me find my way, even in tall grass. It does have its drawbacks though—it’s really hard to fake my grump face when that rudder won’t stay still. I also have amazing speed that lets me keep pace with those backyard critters—some with antlers and some with bushy tails. I haven’t caught up to any, but am confident with continued training (i.e. rest) and focus on nutrition (I mean, food is fuel), nothing is impossible. I think I am classified as ‘low maintenance’ due to the amount of down time I enjoy each day—regardless of time, weather, or frankly any events—(with the exception of mealtime—that’s an automatic wake up).

I behave well when I see new people or other dogs. In fact, I rather enjoy the company of anyone who is willing to rub my belly or sniff a greeting.

Maintaining grooming standards is also something I hold in high regard. Now, it’s not that I would go so far to say that I ‘enjoy’ baths, but I do find them refreshing and am accepting of the routine without much fuss. That shampoo fragrance seems to have a calming effect which makes it even easier to catch a midday snooze.

I had a previous eye surgery to make me look beautiful, but I guess the vet thinks it didn’t do what it was supposed to do. Anyway, I now have a lot of eye goop every day that has to get wiped out of my eyes. My vision in the right eye has gotten pretty hazy, so it’s actually really easy to clean that side and use drops, but the laser vision I use to keep track of those bushy tails and antlers in the other eye isn’t so fond of this routine.

My perfect forever home would be just that, a home. I’m a pretty flexible guy, so I’m not overly picky. I’m not as young as I used to be, so less stairs would be great. People would be good, People that pay attention to me would be better. People that pay attention to me but also let me get my beauty rest would be the best. Windows and a view of nature are great bonuses, but to be honest, most of the day I’m looking at the back of my eyelids, so it’s not a must.

I have a bladder of steel so I can be left alone for a good portion of the day if a human has to earn money for my food. Pretty sure I wouldn’t have much of an issue with other dogs, but can’t say I would know what to do with a cat or some other creature taking my human’s attention.

That’s about all for now. I’m sure a picture of my beautiful self will be all you need, and I’m fairly confident you would be a better human with my presence, so please consider it to make the world a better place.

Later- Frank
