Hiya!! The name’s Auggie and I'm your future personal greeter, professional wiggle machine, and all-around goofball extraordinaire. I’m a 2-year-old hunk of love (aka- English Bulldog) who recently made my way into rescue after my previous owner could no longer care for me. Lucky for me, I’ve landed somewhere that’s helping me feel my best. I’ve already had my neuter and even got my cherry eyes all fixed up (see the pic with that cone, ugh!). I'm still recovering but soon I'll be feeling fresh, looking good, and ready for my forever home!
Let me tell you a little about what makes me…well, me. If you come within a 10-foot radius, prepare yourself. My whole body starts wiggling like I just won the lottery. I LOVE people. All people. Every single one. I don’t believe in strangers, just best friends I haven’t met yet. I’m also a big fan of other dogs. Playtime is kind of my thing, so having a buddy around would be a dream come true.
When I’m not busy bouncing around and showing off my goofy personality, I’m actually a pretty solid guy. I’m potty trained (go me!), I do great on walks, and stairs? No problem. I’m surprisingly mobile for a guy who sometimes forgets where his feet are mid-wiggle. And once I’ve gotten all my zoomies out? I turn into a total snuggle bug. Couch, dog bed, your lap…doesn’t matter. If there’s cuddling involved, count me in.
Now, I’ll be honest. I’m still a young dude, which means I’ve got some “work in progress” moments. I can get a little carried away with my excitement and might jump up to say hello (I just REALLY love you, okay?). I also still have some puppy habits like chewing on things I probably shouldn’t (What can I say? My foster brother's pizza harness just looks really tasty!). With a little structure, consistency, and maybe a toy or two redirected my way, I know I’ll get the hang of it.
As for my dream home? I’m not too picky. I just want a family who’s ready to keep up with me! Regular walks, playtime, and attention are a must. I’d absolutely love another dog to romp around with, but most importantly, I want humans who are excited to help me continue learning and growing into the best boy I can be.
Alright, I’ve got some wiggling to get back to…probably at the next person who walks by. Could that be you coming to meet me? I sure hope so.
