Hi there, I’m Holly, a sweet 4ish-year-old English bulldog with a heart of gold! I was found alone on the cold streets of Chicago, but now I'm warm and cozy in my foster family's home and looking for my forever home!
I’ve had a bit of a tough start, probably used by a backyard breeder for puppies, but don’t let that fool you! I’m a sweet and friendly girl who loves people. I'm a small little girl--only 36 pounds--but the vet says I can gain a few pounds, and I am more than happy to do so! I LOVE food and meal time is my favorite time! I am a fast and messy eater (can you blame me?), so my foster parents got me a slow feeder and I also enjoy a snuffle mat.
I may not be the most athletic pup in the park, as I prefer to chill on the couch over going on long walks or wrestling with toys. I walk nicely on the leash and absolutely adore car rides. I do know how to sit, and am more likely to do it if there's a treat in it for me. One thing to keep in mind: I prefer not to be left alone for too long. Just think of me as your little shadow, ready to keep you company during couch potato marathons and lazy afternoons. I haven’t met other dogs or cats close up yet, but I’ve met both at a distance and we were all chill. I’m still working on my potty training, but I’m getting better every day! With a little patience and love, I know I’ll master it in no time.
My forever home will have a comfy couch that has room on it for me, and someone who can be home with me most of the time. While I don't seem to have any issues with kids, I would probably prefer older kids who are calmer and prefer to snuggle rather than play a lot. -Holly
