Dolly’s ready to clock in FOREVER! 🐾💕

Dolly is a two-year-old English Bulldog who is learning what it means to simply be a dog.

Before coming into rescue, Dolly had a litter of puppies and was ultimately abandoned. At only two years old, she has already experienced a life where no one took the time to teach her many of the things most dogs learn when they are young.

Dolly is house-trained, but she has had very little other training. She doesn’t know commands yet and doesn’t really understand toys or how to play with them. In many ways, Dolly simply doesn’t know how to be a dog yet.

What she does know is how to love her people. Dolly is a total snuggler and wants nothing more than to be close to you. She will happily follow you from room to room and become your little bulldog shadow. 

Because Dolly becomes very attached to her people, she does not enjoy being in a crate and can become upset when left there. She will need a patient family willing to work with her and help her learn that she is safe, even when her people aren’t right beside her.

She is not food aggressive, happily accepts treats, is house-trained, and yes, she definitely snores. She is an English Bulldog, after all.

Dolly doesn’t need someone expecting a perfectly trained dog. She needs someone who understands that many of the things other dogs take for granted are completely new to her. She needs patience, consistency, reassurance, and most of all, love.

Her past may explain where she is today, but it doesn’t have to define where she goes next.

Dolly deserves the chance to learn how to play, how to feel secure, and how to enjoy all the little things that come with being a loved family dog.

She spent the beginning of her life being a mama. Now it’s Dolly’s turn to be someone’s baby.
