This beautiful 4 year old hunk was surrendered to animal control by his family saying they wanted better for him. He seemingly is perfect (healthy and in good spirits and behaviorally sound). He is a typical needy boy and follows foster mom everywhere seeing praise and affection. He doesn't like to be separated and wants to be your shadow! He has dry eye (likely a life long condition) that will require eye meds each day. His vision seems to be slightly impacted (he will run into objects on occasion) but overall he can see..perhaps has some blurriness? He is a bit anxious (and is a blanket suckler to help ease his anxiety - it's precious). We are taking the edge off with medications to help him feel relaxed and loved and comforted.
He walks well on a leash and harness and greets everyone gently on walks. He is said by original family to be good with cats and rabbits and kids but no testing at foster home yet. We think he will be a gentleman with other dogs too...but won't test until his respiratory infection is gone!
He is starting to play with bones and kong and chews. But what he loves most is a blankie that he can twist up under him, snuggle and suck on!
He is not neutered yet but will be as soon as his respiratory infection is under control. He lifts his leg a bit and we are working on this by using a belly band in the house and he is already learning - think this issue will be gone within 2 weeks.
He's a bit of a noisy breather..typically bulldog. And all wrinkles around his head and face! Tolerates a bath well and takes treat ever so gently!
