Tinsel is my name and cuteness is my game! If you've been following my story it's been quite a tale! (not to be confused with my actual tail...yes...I have a tail!). I probably have a little mix of something in me, because I'm the cutest, toadiest little bully lady in town...you can't not love me!
My story is this. (Grab the tissues) I was left at Chicago Animal Care and Control by some humans in a plastic tub.I was near death's door. It was obvious I was pregnant and in labor, and my humans didn't take me into the vet for intervention when I needed it. Instead, they dumped me and ran. Animal Control called CEBR who swooped in and got me straight to the ER. I was in bad shape. My puppies had passed away internally (and likely had been that way for days). One was stuck in my birth canal and I was septic. They almost lost me to sepsis but after a week with ICU Care, an emergency spay and lots of drains and tubes, I pulled through. I even nursed some other puppies that didn’t have a mom- I’m just that kinda girl.
Learning to be a real bully dog in a home has been step #2! I was scared and timid at first, but now...look out world here I come! I am all puppy energy and they think I am probably only about 1.5 years. Imagine a puppy with no training but boundless love??! That's me! I want to explore the world with my mouth and little legs. I want to sniff and find out what's what. I want to chew and mouth on your hands, and all of the things that puppies do! My foster folks are working with me on these things, but it's going to take some time. I like to jump on my people to snuggle with them. I will rest my head on your leg, and beg for your food. Yep...no shame to my game!
I am totally healthy now and up to date on all of my medical care. I'm ready for my forever home. I live with 2 other dogs and love them. They are older than me and don't like my antics so a younger set of dogs that can keep up with me would be awesome. I think I'm probably gentle with cats and other animals too -- after all I'm only 33 lbs! A mini bully!
I'm working on potty training and am kept in my crate when the humans aren't home and mind that pretty well. My naughtiness comes out after I've gone outside to potty. I will come in and potty again. About every other day. But...we are working on it and I'm making strides. I promise!
I go wild over food and treats. I love love love to chase toys, and am a high energy girl under it all. Once I really learn what this world is all about I'm going to be a spunky flower! -Love, Tinsel
