Hi there new friend! My name is Olive. I’m a 3-year-old Blue Fawn Olde English Bulldogge, or so they say. That means I look a bit like an English Bulldog, but I’m long and lean. Think bully sport mode. I also have beautiful green hazel eyes that I love to look at you lovingly with.
I started life as a breeding dog, but I guess I wasn’t very good at my “job,” so lucky me- I got to retire! Now I’m reliving the puppyhood that I didn’t get the 1st time around. I’m still learning which things are dog toys I can chew on and which are not, but I’m getting better at it every day. I’ve also learned that when people say “leave it” that they don’t want me to have something. I’m so smart and I’m learning what makes my foster people happy everyday. I hope my forever family will help me continue to learn and become the perfect house pup.
What I don’t have to learn is how to be affectionate and loving, because I already know all that really important stuff! My favorite things are napping on the couch, snuggling with my people (or my foster dog siblings), playing and of course eating!
I also love to run and jump and play, and boy can I run fast! My foster parents laugh at my gymnastics everyday, and say that I have a happy-go-lucky personality. I’m almost completely house trained but sometimes I still have accidents at night. As with everything else, I’m a little better at it every day! Another thing I’m still learning is walking on a leash. I have a backyard here, but I’m working on understanding the leash too.
I’m a quiet girl and I haven’t really used my voice here at all. I also sleep happily in my crate all night. I need to get my beauty sleep for more zoomies. I get along great with the other dogs here, and I like all people too, but small people might be harder for me, only because I’m not the carefulest of girls yet. So, whatcha think?
