*Welcome almost adoptable Earl!*
Hello my name is Earl, Earl Grey to be exact. Sounds VERY regal. I was recently let go from my job of being a stud dog. I had been doing it for many years but I guess they didn’t need me anymore so now I’m happily with CEBR getting the love and care I need.
I’m about 8 years old, and before I came to my foster home I lived in a barn. Outside. With other dogs. I did that for many, many years. Now I have a house that’s warm and a bed of my own (don’t tell the humans, I prefer the couch). My foster mommy noticed that I sometimes walk a bit funny. She thinks it’s because I spent much of my time in a cage and that I need to build up my muscles in my legs. I’m not really good with more than 2 stairs right now. I just don’t have the strength and coordination yet. Other than needing to have a few teeth pulled, I’m a rockstar (or so I am told).
I love to eat my food, I’m still not sure about human food. I love to play, but it’s new to me so I still need help knowing what’s ok to chew on and what’s not (shoes DO taste amazing).
I love my little people that are in the foster home, they help take care of me and they are cool in my book. I like the cat and the other dogs here too. As a recent retiree, I’m still learning to play so sometimes they scare me a bit. The chickens that live here are super interesting to me! I keep trying to catch one but boy they are fast!
Oh, and people. People are my favorite. I will be right where you are. Except for the bathroom, it seems to scare me. And I won’t go up those stairs, they scare me too. Speaking of the bathroom. I’m about 75% house trained and working on getting better every day.
Due to my years as a stud, I’m a bit of an older guy, I just turned 8. But don’t let that fool you, I have plenty of energy for walks, playing and cuddling with you.
