Hello - my name is Shadow, I’m about 4 years old, and BOY does my name suit me. I will hide in the shadows and sneak around to be anywhere that you are. I find one "person" and when I do, I like to give them all the attention, love and kisses. I do warm up to the others in the home also, I just need time. See, I was left alone ALOT in my prior home and it makes me feel sad when you go. I am never sure when you will be back, so forgive me if I don't want to leave your side.
I am potty pad trained. My foster mom thinks that I am starting to bark a bit when I need to go out to the bathroom, and I sure like to go outside.
My foster family has other dogs I can play with, as well as a cat and chickens. Those chickens, I have not decided if they are food or friend yet. Can you blame me? I have started to chew on bones and sometimes like to play. I really want to play rough with my foster dad, but I am not confident enough for that yet, can you help me learn?
Due to the anxiety that I had with leaving my other home and coming to my foster home, the vet put me on some medication to help relax me. It’s helping, but I still don't like to go to the vet or have my nails trimmed, car rides are ok if someone can be there with me. I take my meds like a champ with a yummy slice of lunch meat. So good!
My ideal home would have my family at home more than away and another pet in the home would be cool too. I would love to be your Shadow!
